Dmore

Dmore is building an integrated commerce and financial platform for Africa, where shopping, a points wallet (DMP), seller settlement and delivery work together instead of as separate products. The wallet came first. The marketplace around it still had to become a real product: a fresh database could not be built from the migrations, several account pages had ineffective access checks, and checkout had never been verified end to end. I started with an audit and a safety baseline, then changed features.

Over the following weeks I rebuilt the commerce side in layers: the order, checkout and payment lifecycle with DMP wallet and Flutterwave providers; a vendor workspace for onboarding, listings, inventory, fulfilment and payouts; an inventory import system; rewards and cashback; and a notifications pipeline. Customer pages moved into one marketplace design system, from categories and search to product, cart and account.

Money and trust live on the server. Totals are owned by the server, not the browser, payment writes use idempotency keys, and vendor scope comes from the authenticated membership rather than a form field. Payout settlement runs as queued work with bounded retries, so a restart never pays twice. Where a figure had no data behind it, the admin dashboard says "Unavailable" and why, instead of showing a plausible number.

The marketplace is live at shop.dmore.io, covering the customer, vendor and admin sides. I built it alongside two other engineers, and the screens on this page come from my local build with demo data.
